PREVIOUSLY ON BTS: FEBRUARY 10-16 WINE AND WINGS: THE START OF A NEW ERA

So, it is not the start of the era yet, but we already have the concept pictures and album covers! Map of the Soul: 7 is sticking to the usual 4 concepts per album. The photos follow along with the Gods and the Black Swan concepts with two dark-themed photos and two light-themed photos; one of which ARMY concedes as the “Harry Potter’s Hogwarts” classes.

BANGTAN AND ARMY NEWS

BTS are back in Korea. J-hope went to Weverse sharing photos of his puppy Mickey, indicating that he is back home with his family. He also shared photos of V at a museum they visited together in LA. Along with confirming a short video of V at Venice Beach.

Then Jin, Jimin and V took their turn to share moments with ARMY, throughout the week. Jin reacted to the concept photo #4 and used his time online to do some witty jokes, V shared stunning selfies and Jimin chose to share his excitement about the recent snowfall in Seoul. ARMY knows that Jimin is a big fan of snow, therefore this Weverse moment is not a surprise, yet a sweet and enjoyable interaction.

BTS also shared exciting photos of them at the Connect, BTS exhibition in Seoul. ARMY are glad that the boys could attend at least one of the exhibitions considering their love for art and their involvement in this huge event.

Meanwhile, the public (and ARMY) took to vote for the 2020 NME Awards, and awarded BTS The Music Moment of 2019 Award at Wembley.

COME PRIMA

This enigmatic part of phase 4 called Come Prima, to be released the same day as the Comeback, has raised ARMY’s curiosity. Thus, Come prima has spiked 31,000% in searches on January 8th, 2020. Yes, 31,000%. The phrase Come Prima comes from the Italian language and literally means “as before”. It is also known as a tempo note in classical music meaning to keep the same tempo as before.

ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE AND BTS

February 13th, Rolling Stone magazine tweeted a link to an article with the title: BTS Will Premiere a New Song, on ‘Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ and go on a tour of NYC. “You’re not going to believe how big and fun their performance is—they took over Grand Central Terminal,” Fallon teases ARMY and the general public. The article also promises that BTS will take a trip to Kat’z Delicatessen, a Must-Try restaurant in New York.

Producer Gavin Purcell took to Twitter with some factoids about BTS and their involvement with the Jimmy Fallon show. Quoted below are the bullet points directly mentioned by Purcell. “*Long interview on the subway! * Fan questions! * New game played tournament style (one v one)! * First time ever to Katz Deli famous NYC spot to try pastrami and other very New York foods! * GIANT performance.” It seems that this man has no mercy for ARMY’s hearts!

BTS MOVES ON WITH MORE CARS

Hyundai had some great news to share about BTS as well. They indeed revealed that BTS will be featured in a 1-hour show held on February 21st, in Time Square. The show starts at 7pm EST, and we can't wait to see it, especially since they also shared photos of the members on their Instagram, with the mysterious quote “Because of you”, on a daily basis since their announcement.

JUST IN

Already Monday in Korea but still Sunday in a lot of areas, all over the World… So we definitely can't close the week without mentioning the newly released tracklist for Map of the Soul: 7! While we are already familiar with the first 5, this new album will gift us 15 new tracks, including a version of the title featuring Sia, and one track in particular that especially the older ARMYs can't help but be both curious and emotional about: "We Are Bulletproof: the Eternal".

So, ARMY, what do you think will be the vibe of each song, if you'd have to guess by just the title? Which one are you most curious to listen to?

Less than a week of waiting yet… Let’s continue the countdown launched by RM on Weverse yesterday, ARMY!
