PoB October 30- December 10 MUSIC, AWARDS AND BTS: AN EPIC SAGA OF THEIR ARTISTIC SUCCESS

Welcome back to another PoB blog! With the holiday season coming up and awards being attributed, the month of November was action-packed as usual.


On October 30, a preview video of In The Soop Season 2, episode 4 was released on YouTube, giving us a glimpse into how BTS spent their vacation. On the same day, ARMYs broke out into chaotic excitement when HYBE dropped a preview of BTS' 2022 Season's greetings. We were captivated by the members' stunning visuals, as they acted out the innovative concept, “star turned villain." On November 1, Season's Greetings preview cuts were released, and was made available for pre-order. Released on December 9, it consists of thirteen items and a wall calendar. Meanwhile, RM posted a picture of himself on Weverse, captioning it "I wanna go home."



November 3 was an exciting day for ARMY as Marvel studios credited Jimin and BTS for using the track Friends, in their new movie, "The Eternals." Simultaneously, BTS was nominated for 2021 MAMA under the categories of Best Male Group, Best Dance Performance Male, Best Collaboration and Worldwide Fan's Choice Top 10. On November 4, RM posted an open letter for ARMY on Weverse, expressing how much he loves and cares for us. HYBE previewed four of its upcoming webtoons and web novels in collaboration with the platforms, Wattpad and Webtoon – it's set to release on January 12, 2022.


Yours by Jin, the main OST for K-drama "Jirisan" was released on November 7. The track has a pleasing melody with Jin's healing voice. On November 8, BTS was nominated at 2021 MMA for Top 10 Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Artist of the Year and Netizen Popularity Award. The American Music Awards (AMAs) announced the world premiere performance of Butter by BTS, which would have featured Megan Thee Stallion! Spotify announced that Euphoria was the most streamed solo song by a Korean male act on the platform, as of November 9. Well done, Jungkook!


November 15 brought along cheerful news as BTS won all the awards for the categories they were nominated under in MTV EMA 2021, becoming the most awarded artist of the night! j-hope and V were also awarded as the world's best Male dancers and Kpop idols of the year, respectively, at the Global Nubia Awards 2021. Congratulations, BTS and ARMY!


On November 17, the boys departed for LA from Incheon airport, giving us a mesmerizing view of their stunning airport fashion! The members took to Twitter and Weverse to update ARMY about their safety, an immensely sweet act on their behalf. It was also revealed that BTS and Coldplay were set to perform their brand new single, My Universe at the AMAs, leaving the fandom overjoyed and excited!



November 20 will remain a memorable day for both ARMYs and Directioners, as j-hope, Jungkook, V and Jimin attended Harry Styles' concert in LA. Video clips of the members jamming hard to the former One Direction member went viral on the internet, and it was evident that the four had quite a lot of fun!


Award season has officially begun! On November 22, BTS attended the AMAs in person. They won Favorite Pop Duo or Group, Favorite Pop Song for Butter, and Artist of the Year, which marked their first Grand Prize in America. Later, on November 24, the nominations for the 64th GRAMMY Awards were announced; BTS received a Grammy nomination for their song Butter in the category, Best Pop Duo or Group Performance. Although BTS didn't attend the Melon Music Awards on December 4, they won six awards: MMA Top 10 (Bonsang), Best Collaboration for My Universe, Best Male Group, Netizen’s Choice, Legendary Performance for IDOL (2018), and Song of the Year (Daesang) for Butter.


BTS had their first offline concerts, PERMISSION TO DANCE: ON STAGE – LA, at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (from November 27-28 and December 01-02). After two years, ARMYs could finally cheer for them in person. BTS expressed how they missed ARMY and wished they could tour again very soon. The concerts were also broadcasted at the YouTube Theater, and on the last day, there was even an online streaming of it. With four sold-out nights, they grossed $33.3 million dollars, becoming the biggest US Billboard Boxscore in 18 years. After the concerts, the members took to VLive to talk about their experience.


On November 25, it was announced that V would be part of the OST for the drama, “Our Beloved Summer”, with a song titled, Our Summer (Christmas Tree). On December 3, the Butter (Holiday Remix) was released, welcoming the festive time of the year. Also, the song Girl of My Dreams (with SUGA of BTS) off Juice Wrld’s new album was released on December 10.



After celebrating early at the concerts, Jin’s birthday officially came on December 4, and the other members wished him a happy birthday on social media. Later on, he came on VLive where he remarked how grateful he was for ARMY. Then, he suddenly surprised us by revealing his new song, Super Tuna, along with a Special Performance Video. The song, with its catchy beat and fun fishing concept, blew up among ARMY, locals and kids. Thank you Jin for a wonderful gift!



On December 6, Big Hit Music announced BTS’ second official vacation since their first one in 2019. The announcement stated that they would be recharging with creative energy, spending the holiday season with their families, and preparing for the release of a new album, which would mark the beginning of a “new chapter”. Soon after, ARMY was incredibly surprised that on the same day, all seven BTS members had opened their individual Instagram accounts. They started posting right away, and their followers reached millions in just minutes. It has been rather fun and busy for us to witness this new Bangtan chaos!


Take a deep breath, ARMY. That was a lot to wrap up! From exciting song releases and well-deserved awards to emotion-packed concerts and new beginnings, it's heartwarming to see BTS and ARMY reunited and enjoying each other's company. We can't wait to see what BTS does next in what should be their time to relax. See you next time!
