Happy new year ARMY! We have not only entered a new year, but a new decade. It’s mind boggling to think 2000 was twenty years ago! Nevertheless, with the new year comes new plans, goals, promises and resolutions. This blog is sure to give you some ideas and inspiration, if you’re not sure what to make of the 2020 year.
BTS Comeback goals
TOUR 2020 is coming in April. Up to this point, we have no idea when the dates or tickets will drop or which cities will be hosting the tour. So for the first goal, let's save our coins! For any ARMY who haven’t been to a concert, ticket prices usually range from $60 (base seats) to $350 for VIP or soundcheck. Save accordingly and work hard, ARMY!
The comeback is rumored to be in February, March or April. Again, as of writing this blog, we have no confirmation, but it's coming! Let's prepare to stream and support our boys as best as possible! If you cannot afford to buy multiple singles, copies, or even one song, you can still show your support by listening and streaming the MVs on YouTube when they're released. Don't feel that you aren't supporting if you aren't paying.
Learning a new skill.
As well as traditional classes, Skillshare and YouTube are some great learning resources! These can either be free or paid, depending on what skill you want to study. If there's something you've been wanting to learn or re-learn, go for it! The internet is at your disposal. Some ideas for new skills can be learning Korean or another language, with ARMY_Language, learning some new recipes with BTSARMYKitchen or just getting new book inspirations with BTSBookClub_twt!
Have no desire to learn a new skill? No worries. You can try something new instead. Whether it's a once-in-a-lifetime adventure or a safe outing, just seize the day ARMY! Like adventure? Try the catapult swing in New Zealand, just like the boys did in Bon Voyage 4, episode 5. Please be careful, by all means!
If you aren't an adrenaline junkie, try a new dish that's been on your mind. You can go see an opera, if that's your thing. Whatever it is, do something new this year you never thought you'd do!
Another goal ARMYs can make for themselves is to catch up on all the BTS content. There is a lot out there, so it could be a fun challenge! BTS CONTENT INDEX has over 3800 translated videos for you to watch. Unfortunately, the site is no longer updated, but this is a great start for new and existing ARMYs.
Finding official content can be challenging, but fear not, BANGTANTV has many official playlists on YouTube you can watch for free and binge to your heart's content. BigHit even has a playlist of 136 official MVs of BTS. Stream in support of the boys, while catching up on your favorite MVs and intros.
If you're more into reading, BTS webtoon Save Me has 16 episodes ready to read on the WEBTOON app. The WEBTOON is based off the HYYH/BU universe, where the lives of seven best friends are intertwined through good moments and tough times. One character, you might guess, is given the chance to go back in time and fix all the mistakes that could lead the boys into irreversible fates. But can he save everyone in time?
BTS has always been big on loving yourself and learning who you are. With the recently concluded Love Yourself era, we grew emotionally and mentally with our boys. One great resolution for 2020 is to keep loving yourself. Life will always bring days where you want to stay in and hide, but it's important to remember that we have to love ourselves before we can love others. As Namjoon once said during his UN speech, “...These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life. I have come to love myself for who I am, for who I was, and for who I hope to become.”
Let's do our best to remember how brave our leader was when giving his speech, how raw and transparent he became to people all over the world and to ARMY, regardless of ethnicity and status.
Let's love ourselves - authentically, forgivingly, and completely - in 2020.
